Man Arrested for Burglarizing Churches
Authorities say they think they know who might have tried to break into several churches over the last week in the area.

The Warren County Sheriffs Department says 27-year old Chad Doss of Monmouth was arrested Wednesday following a joint investigation by detectives from both Warren and McDonough Counties.

Sheriff Martin Edwards says that investigation started after a church in Bushnell was allegedly broken into earlier in the week, and a safe was taken.

Edwards says the safe was found near Kirkwood, but it's not clear what, if anything else, was taken.

Edwards says later in the day authorities got calls about possible break-ins to the Roseville Christian Church, and to the Roseville United Methodist Church. It's not believed anything was stolen but both churches sustained broken windows.

Doss was arrested and taken to the McDonough County Jail, and Edwards says charges are pending in Warren County as well. A 16-year old questioned in the matter was released to his parents.
