IL Man Sent to Prison in IA Bank Robberies
DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) -- An Illinois man has been sentenced to nearly 5 years in federal prison for robbing three banks in southeast Iowa.

The U.S. attorney's office in Davenport says Friday that 22-year-old Ryan Zasereti, of Charleston, Ill., was sentenced to 57 months in prison.

Zasareti and Morris Thompson were charged with robbing the Community 1st Credit Union in Ottumwa and the Wayland State Bank in Mount Pleasant on April 9, 2010. Authorities also say they robbed the Mount Pleasant Bank again on Sept. 16, 2010.

They were arrested after an Iowa State Patrol trooper spotted a suspicious van and recorded the license number. They were later arrested in Illinois.

Morris is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
