BREAKING NEWS: Shots Fired at Kiwanis Park; One Dead, One Arrested, Four Wanted
UPDATED 2:30pm 7/1/11 A teenager has been arrested in connection to Thursday night's fatal shooting at Kiwanis Park in Galesburg, and authorities say they're looking for four more people.

Galesburg Police say officers arrested a 16-year old male just before 1am in connection to the shooting that killed 21-year old Jemell Ware just several hours before.

The male is being held in the Knox County Mary Davis Home on charges of First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.

Arrest warrants have been issued for 46-year old Overton Fisher of Chicago, and 23-year old Albert Carter, 18-year old Michael Fisher, and 21-year old Kareem Dixon -- all of Galesburg.

The four faces charges if caught of first-degree murder and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.

Police were called to Kiwanis Park around 7:15 pm Thursday for a shots fired call. There, they say Ware was found laying on his back near Michigan Avenue. He was pronounced dead at a short time later at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

Police were also looking for a gray and maroon van with Illinois license plates that the shooters might have fled the scene in. It's also not known if that has been found, but police do say evidence has been collected from the scene, and numerous interviews were done.

Anyone else with information is still being asked to call the Galesburg-Area CrimeStoppers.
