Man Arrested on Sex Crimes Makes Court Appearance
A Galesburg man charged in four felony sex-related cases says, so far, that he's innocent.

31 year old Shawn Pedigo made an appearance in Knox County Circuit Court this afternoon, where an arraignment date was scheduled all four cases.

A grand jury recently indicted Pedigo on charges of either Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse or Criminal Sexual Abuse, mostly for allegedly fondling girls under the age of 18 between 2003 and this year.

But Pedigo also faces charges in a separate case, including three Class X felony counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault, and five Class 2 felony counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

The charges stem from an incident where Pedigo allegedly sex sexually explicit photos of a young girl showering at his house to another man, 32 year old Nicholas Friend, who pleaded not guilty last week.

Pedigo will be arraigned Wednesday morning at 9:30. Meanwhile, he's being held in the Knox County Jail on at least $250,000 bond.
