Galesburg Connects with Aurora for 'More on 34'
It's Father's Day weekend and that means there's over one hundred miles of antique vendors along US Route 34.

The annual 'More on 34' stretches from Aurora to Galesburg. Sellers and buyers will fill fields, parking lots, and homes along the route Friday and Saturday. Some sales may remain open by midday Sunday.

The Galesburg-Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau Executive Director Judy Guenseth tells the WGIL Morning News one area destination is the Hawthorne Centre Craft and Antique Mall, but that's not all.

"The other communities that are doing things in Knox County are Wataga, and Oneida, and Altona will be doing a few things," Guenseth said. "These groups just have a very dedicated core group of people that help plan these things. (They're) very passionate about it. A lot of people brag about the finds they get from it."

"And I know they do have food vendors and other entertainment planned at these communities too.

Guenseth says organizers take the event extremely seriously because it may be the only time each year people travel long distances to visit their communities.
