Violent Storms Pass Without Much Damage
It appears that most of the immediate area was unscathed by Saturday evening's severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service, there are reports of wind damage from strong thunderstorms to the west and southwest of Knox County-- throughout Roseville and Monmouth specifically.

But there's no indication that Saturday night's reported tornado caused any damage. A Tornado Warning was issued around 7:34pm for Knox, Peoria, and Stark counties. The National Weather Service in Lincoln reported a twister had touched down in Williamsfield at about that time.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were in effect for most of the area until 9pm. Severe Thunderstorm Watches were in effect for the entire listening audience until 9 as well, but until 2am for Peoria County. Records show Peoria County recorded over an inch and a half of rain.

If you've suffered any damage from the severe weather, let us know in the newsroom-- by phone, facebook, or email at news@wgil.com.

It remains unknown why more than 1,700 Ameren Illinois customers in Galesburg before the storms arrived. Most of the outages Saturday afternoon seemed to be west of Cherry Street.

More showers and thunderstorms are being forecasted as a possibility Sunday night. It's unclear how severe. Conditions will become extremely windy over the next two days.
