|Galesburg Police responded to the 500 block of West Knox Street in Galesburg to a report of an unwanted subject just before 1 o'clock Monday morning.
Once on scene, officers spoke with the complainant who advised that the subject in question was sitting in a car outside the residence.
Two women were sitting in a car on the street and once officers positively identified them, said they were leaving the home.
Police waited for the vehicle to depart, but after a minute of waiting, 21-year-old Arriana Morrow exited the vehicle and walked up to the home's porch.
Officers approached the woman to ask why she wasn't leaving when she allegedly told officers she was looking for her cigarettes and that the officer would be liable for purchasing her new cigarettes if she wasn't allowed to get them.
The situation escalated when Morrow allegedly stated that she didn't care if she was taken to jail before being placed in handcuffs for obstructing an officer.
Once back-up was on scene, Morrow allegedly began kicking the officers in the legs and stomach. Morrow was able to use the weight of her body to get on the ground.
The struggle allowed one of her hands to get free allowing her to allegedly begin punching an officer in the face repeatedly. Morrow was subsequently pepper-sprayed according to the police report.
Paramedics arrived on scene for treatment, but the struggle allegedly continued through the treatment. She is being charged with resisting police, aggravated battery of a peace officer and criminal trespass.
