Nearly Naked Man Arrested in Knox County
FIRST REPORTED 6:00am 7/17/10 A Peoria County man is under arrest after he allegedly attempted to attack investigators who showed up to find him -- all while wearing close to nothing.

The Knox County Sheriffs Department says deputies responded to the Lake Calhoun Golf Course area near the Henry, Stark, and Knox County lines just before 10:00 A.M. Friday morning for a report of a man in his underwear jumping on vehicles in the area, who also had apparently damaged a rural mail delivery vehicle and assaulted the carrier.

Deputies arrived and they say 34-year old Christopher Colvin of Princeville ran toward one of them and threw a chainsaw.

Stark County Sheriffs Deputies and Galva police officers all responded to the scene as well, and Colvin was eventually arrested.

Colvin was taken to a Galesburg hospital to be evaluated. Deputies say charges are pending.
