Burris Speaks to Reporters
It's been a while since we've heard from U.S. Sen. Roland Burris, but in a recent stop in Chicago, Burris took some time to chat with reporters.

He says he is enjoying his time in the Senate but is disappointed that his Republican colleagues aren't passing legislation that comes out of the House. He says there are almost 400 bills, passed by the House, waiting for action in the Senate. He says it's a situation where nothing is getting done.

On the political corruption trial of ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Burris says the media has not done enough homework on his appointment to the Senate seat. He maintains that he hasn't done anything wrong. He hasn't been accused of any wrongdoing.

And what about this talk of a special election to fill the Senate seat he is in now for just two months while things play out in the November election? Burris says if such a thing comes up, he's the first to declare his candidacy for the temporary position.
