Police Find Drugs and Weapons in Local Home
A Galesburg man and woman have both been arrested for multiple felony charges.

28 year old Elisha Williams was taken into custody after Galesburg police executed a search warrant in the 600 block of Ohio Avenue June 24th.

A search of the home lead to police seize more than 400 grams of a substance that tested positive as cannabis, four guns, miscellaneous office and kitchen supplies, as well as $3,000 in cash.

The guns included one revolver and three shotguns. Two of the shotgun barrels were sawed off at the end, making them less than 18 inches long.

Williams was charged on two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, illegal possession of ammunition, four FOID card violations, possession of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams, possession of a drug substance with intent to deliver, and unlawful production of cannabis with 5 to 20 plants.

37 year old Jerry Cato also lives at the residence. He later turned himself into police June 30th.

Cato was charged with basically the same offenses, however, he apparently has no prior felony charges.

Both are being held in the Knox County Jail until their initial court appearances, which are scheduled for next week.
