Quinn Mum on Potential Blago Verdict
CHICAGO (AP) -- Gov. Pat Quinn won't say what verdict he'd render if he was on the jury deciding the fate of ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Quinn says public officials shouldn't opine about a pending criminal case.

He says jurors who have heard all the testimony and evidence in Blagojevich's corruption case will follow their conscience and decide.

It looks like jurors could begin their deliberations soon.

The judge has set closing arguments for Monday and jurors could get the case as soon as next week.

The trial has moved swiftly and is nearing its end less than two months after it started.

Originally expected to last more than three months, prosecutors finished early and Blagojevich's defense team didn't call a single witness.
