Car Dealership Drops Lincoln Mercury
Lincoln vehicles apparently are not a hot commodity in Galesburg these days.

President of Galesburg Mercury Lincoln Nissan Jeff Klink tells WGIL he just isn't doing the business for the brand like he used to.

"We had only sold 15 Lincoln Mercury vehicles, new, in the first six months of the year. That's a very low volume of probably 250 to 300 vehicles that have moved through here in this first six months."

Klink has decided to end the Lincoln Mercury franchise at his dealership after a buyout was offered from Ford Motor Company.

Klink was reluctant to make the change because the brand has been in the family business for 25 years.

He says, however, things change and now was the time to make that change. The dealership will become Galesburg Nissan beginning August 1st.
