Schock: Signs Touting Stimulus-Funded Road Projects Wasteful
The signs that tell you a road project is made possible by the stimulus package are unnecessary, according to an Illinois congressman whose district covers a portion of Knox County.

U. S. Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Peoria) says it's not that the president is of the opposing party; he says the money for the stimulus bill -- formally the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act -- is borrowed anyway, and the signs are going to be discarded anyway.

Schock says the signs are nothing more than a taxpayer-paid commercial for the Obama administration, and is not the kind of perk available to a representative or senator. He is promoting a House Republican web site called "YouCut" -- to identify wasteful projects.
