"Monmouthfest" Scheduled for Wednesday Night
Residents from around the area are being invited once again to the Maple City to have fun, but also learn something very important.

The annual "Monmouthfest" will be held Wednesday night from five to nine in the area around the Public Squarre in Monmouth.

For the last several years "Monmouthfest" has also been a health jamboree in collaboration with the Warren County Health Department and the Monmouth-Area Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber executive director Angela McElwee tells WGIL the health jamboree itself has become quite popular in just a few years.

"Starting at 5pm, and running through 7, we have the Health Fair," McElwee said. "We have over 30 participants -- 30 health care booth -- on a variety of topics and subject in the health field. The health fair has grown a little bit every year, so we're pretty excited about that."

McElwee says that's in addition to health screenings that will be available.

She says there will also be live music on a stage, inflatables for the kids, plenty of food, and other activities during "Monmouthfest."
