Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. the Subject of Testimony at Blagojevich Trial
A former political fundraiser testified in the political corruption trial of ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich about who he wanted to be U.S. Senator.

Rajinder Bedi, who once held a position in state government, told jurors that he and a friend, Raghuveer Nayak would hold fundraisers for Blagojevich if Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Chicago) would be considered for the U.S. Senate.

During one meeting between Nayak Bedi and Robert Blagojevich, the subject was brought up and Bedi says Robert said his brother would never appoint Jackson to the Senate because Jackson didn't endorse Blagojevich in his first bid for governor and hasn't supported him since. During cross-examination, Robert's lawyer made sure to reinforce that statement.

Meanwhile the judge in the case has set a Monday deadline for the defense to decide what FBI recordings they want played in court and why.

Cross examination of Bedi continues today with Blagojevich's lawyer.
