Roof Work Being Done on Knox President's House
Most of the time, repairs to your home are made before you move in. But that's not necessarily the case for the new president of Knox College.

Teresa Amott has officially been on the job for 10 days now, but the home the college gives the president to live in during their tenure has been undergoing some renovations.

Amott tells the WGIL Morning News some minor interior work has been going on since she came to town to replace Roger Taylor, but that's not all that needed to be done in a hurry.

"It was time for a new roof," Amott said. "It's a big roof. It's a big job. Unfortunately, they started [July 1], which was...roofers are used to all manner of weather, but that was a challenging day to be up on a roof for sure."

July first was a day of oppressive heat and humidity like Monday is forecast to be.

Otherwise, Amott is in love with the president's house. She describes it as "so grand" and "so beautiful."
