Monmouth-Roseville to Use Closed Elementary Building
A building closed by the Monmouth-Roseville School District could have new life yet.

The District-238 Board, during a special meeting and a board retreat Saturday, voted to move the district's administrative office to the closed Willits Primary School. That's also expected to be where the district's maintenance facility and bus garage will also relocate to from their current spots in Monmouth.

But Superintendent Paul Woehlke tells WGIL there's still some details to be worked out.

"There are some other questions associated with what use the rest of the property might be put to," Woehlke said. "That will still be further discussed when the meeting is continued [Tuesday] evening."

The meeting Tuesday night will be at 5:30 at the current district office in the Chandler Building in Monmouth. Woehlke says there's a whole laundry list of facilities issues that will be brought up Tuesday, including what to do with a house near Monmouth-Roseville High School had been donated, the potential new agriculture classroom and weight facility, window replacement, any possible improvements to Sunnylane Field, and other things.
