Man Arrested in Warren County After Barricading Self in Home
A Monmouth man has been arrested on robbery charges in another county, but not before he allegedly tried to block police from getting to his home.

The Mercer and Warren County Sheriffs Departments say they arrested 42-year old Joseph Strange Tuesday on a Mercer County Warrant.

But authorities from both counties say when they arrived at the man's trailer on S. 6-1/2 Street in Monmouth, he had barricaded himself inside, though they didn't say how that was done.

Deputies and Monmouth Police eventually forced open a door, and found Strange in a bedroom armed with a knife.

Strange is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $75,000 bond, but officials say he's facing pending charges in Warren County.
