Shooting Suspects Make Court Appearances
The second of two teenagers accused of shooting and trying to rob a man outside his Monmouth Boulevard apartment a week ago Thursday has made another court appearance.

17-year old Devonta Parker made an appearance in Knox County Circuit Court Wednesday, where a judge set a preliminary hearing date of July 25th.

That's the same date for a preliminary hearing as the other man accused in the shooting got during a hearing earlier in the week -- 17-year old Tyrone Haywood.

Parker faces charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.

He and Parker allegedly went up to 22-year old Jordan Allen last Thursday morning as he was sitting in his car outside an apartment at 1520 Monmouth Boulevard, shot him, and robbed him.

Allen was found inside his apartment later, and was taken to a Peoria hospital where is believed to remain, though hospital officials have not released his condition.

Haywood faces robbery charges, and also similar weapons counts but by accountability.

He remains jailed on $400,000 bond, while Parker is jailed on $500,000 bond.
