Two Kiwanis Park Shooting Suspects Make Court Appearances
Two of the people extradited this week from Chicago to face charges connected to the deadly Kiwanis Park shooting last month have made another appearance in Knox County Circuit Court.

Knox County Courthouse records indicate 18-year old Michael Fisher and 21-year old Kareem Dixon made first appearances with their public defenders Friday. The two faces charges of First-degree Murder Accountability and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Accountability.

A judge set preliminary hearing dates for the two on August second. That's the same day 18-year old Michael Garrett will be in court for his preliminary hearing on similar charges.

Fisher and Dixon were extradited back to Galesburg from Chicago Tuesday, after being arrested by the U-S Marshals.

A third man -- 46-year old Overton Fisher -- faces murder and weapons charges for allegedly being the man that shot and killed 21-year old Jemell Ware.

A 16-year old male who was the first arrested in the case will be tried as a juvenile on charges of obstruction of justice and aggravated discharge of a firearm accountability.

One person remains to be arrested in the case. 23-year old Albert Carter, is wanted on a Knox County warrant for charges similar to Dixon, Ware, and Michael Fisher.
