Bradley Univ. Hall Gets Replica Copper Dome
PEORIA, Ill. (AP)--Installation of a clock tower dome on Bradley University's Westlake Hall is complete.

University officials say a crane lifted the 700-pound copper dome into place Wednesday. A copper weather vane measuring more than 4 feet tall also was installed.

The 114-year-old Westlake Hall is one of the University's original campus buildings. Expansion and renovation of the building began last summer and is expected to conclude next summer.

The building project is one of six included in a $150 million campaign launched in 2008.

The original Westlake Hall was designed by Henry Ives Cobb, architect for the University of Chicago.

The new dome replicates the original dome. A Kentucky company, Campbellsville Industries, manufactured the dome.
