Suspect in 1957 Illinois Slaying OKs Extradition
SEATTLE (AP)--The former police officer accused in the 1957 slaying of an Illinois girl has agreed to return to that state to face charges.

Jack Daniel McCullough waived his right to fight extradition in a brief hearing Wednesday in King County Superior Court in Seattle.

His stepdaughter, Janey O'Connor, says the sooner he gets back to Illinios, the sooner he can clear his name.

McCullough was a police officer in two Washington state towns in the 1970s and 80s. He was arrested at his home in Seattle after authorities said new evidence undermined his alibi in the killing of 7-year-old Maria Ridulph, of Sycamore, Ill.
