Search For New Monmouth-Roseville Superintendent to Begin
The Monmouth-Roseville School Board is apparently serious about looking to replace its superintendent.

The District-238 Board Wednesday night during a special meeting voted to hire the Illinois Association of School Boards to help the district engage in a search to replace Paul Woehlke. The board last month took the unusual move to decide not to renew Woehlke's contract when it expires at the end of next school year.

Most of the discussion related to hiring the I-A-S-B took place during closed session, however, so not many more details are known.

This was Woehlke's first job as Superintendent. He was Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations in the Galesburg School District before that.

The District-238 board last night also voted to lease a house the district had been donated that's located on South B Street near Monmouth-Roseville High School, since it won't be using it as a district office or for other means. They set the rental rate at $750.00 a month with no pets, or higher with pets. The district's Physical Resources Committee is taking rental applications now.
