Final Stages of Preparation for New Sporting Goods Store
The district manager for a new sporting goods store set to open in Galesburg says they're nearly ready to open.

Jeremy Rogers is the District Manager for Dunham's Sports, and he says the full-line sporting goods store chain will open Friday, August 5th, with a ribbon-cutting and official opening day. He says almost all of the hiring will be done for the store, and training will start soon.

Rogers tells the WGIL Morning News so far he has a good feeling about Dunham's coming to Galesburg.

"Some of the people I have talked to in town when I have been there have been very nice and very excited about seeing us come in there, and we are excited as well"

Rogers says tin size, Dunham's will be much like other stores.

"It's going to be right in that range of the stores were building, an average size. Not overly large and definitely not one of the smaller ones. It's going to be a nice size store."

Dunham's will be located in the former Eagle Foods on North Henderson Street. Rogers says the building had to be all but completely gutted in order to make something for Dunham's needs.
