Accused Monmouth Boulevard Robbers Back in Court
The cases of two Galesburg teenagers accused of shooting at and robbing another man outside his Monmouth Boulevard apartment have been delayed.

Records at the Knox County Courthouse indicate that 17-year old Tyrone Haywood and 17-year old Devonta Parker were in court Monday for preliminary hearings in the case.

A judge, however, granted a delay that prosecutors asked for, despite the objections of public defenders.

Parker and Haywood are accused of getting into a car in the 15-hundred block of Monmouth Boulevard early on the morning of July seventh attempting to rob 22-year old Jordan Allen.

While doing so, Parker is accused of shooting him.

Police later found Allen inside his apartment, bleeding. He was taken to a Peoria Hospital but it's not clear if he's still there.

Parker faces charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Aggravated Battery. Haywood's charges are similar, except the battery and discharges are by accountability.

The two will both be back in court Monday afternoon. Parker will ask for his half-million dollar bond to be reduced.

No similar hearing is yet scheduled for Haywood, who's being held on $400,000 bond.
