Sheriffs Department Confirms Body Found a Week Ago
The Knox County Sheriffs Department has finally released details on an incident first discovered last week, and that the public has been asking us about ever since.

Sheriffs Department officials yesterday evening issued a statement on the matter, and say the body found in a hay field in rural Knoxville last Thursday afternoon is that of 35-year old Dustin Hengl of Wataga.

Officials say around 2:30 last Thursday afternoon, deputies were called to a report of a body found in a field in the eight-hundred block of Knox Road one-thousand North.

They say the body was found about three-hundred yards away in a hay field, and had decomposed somewhat but was still believed to be a white male.

They say an autopsy was performed last Friday in Bloomington where they were able to get DNA evidence that has since been processed and confirmed the body to be that of Hengl.

No cause of death has been determined, and officials say they're still waiting for the results of toxicology tests performed during the autopsy.

Sheriffs deputies say they're continuing the investigation into what might have happened -- one that they would only call an "alleged incident" earlier in the week.
