Extended Sentence in Felony Sex Case
A Galesburg teenager accused of commiting a sexual act in front of a five-year-old girl will spend more time in jail than he had hoped for.

Knox County Courthouse records indicate Judge Paul Mangieri Thursday sentenced 18-year old Kory Agans to 180 days in the Knox County Jail, and 30-months of probation, after pleading guilty in May to a felony charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Prosecutors had asked for 90 days in the jail, but because it was a partially negotiated plea, the judge didn't necessarily have to go along with it.

Agans allegedly pulled down a five-year-old girl's pants multiple times in May of last year, then pulled down his own.

In a videotaped confession, Agans initially denied committing the act but later confessed, but says he was just telling an investigator what he wanted to hear.
