Guilty Plea in Felony Drug Case
A Galesburg man arrested earlier this year on felony drug charges has pleaded guilty to one of them in Knox County Circuit Court.

Court records indicate 27-year old Joshua Foster pleaded guilty Wednesday to a single felony count of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dropped several other drug charges.

Foster and 23-year old Blake Johnson of Abingdon were arrested in late-March after police representing the Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group went to Foster's home on Florence Avenue March 30th.

Authorities say they found heroin and cannabis in the home.

Foster was sentenced to five-years in prison with credit for 104 days served in the Knox County Jail.

Johnson, meanwhile, is scheduled to be in court on similar charges next Wednesday. A special prosecutor is being used in the case due to a potential conflict of interest within the Knox County State's Attorney's office.
