Last Two Plead Guilty in Carjacking Case
Two more men have pleaded guilty to charges that were not the most serious they faced in connection to a carjacking incident almost a year ago.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 21-year old Rontonio Guterz of Chicago, and 20-year old Robert Kimble of Galesburg, both pleaded guilty Wednesday to single counts of Armed Robber-Accountability.

More serious charges the two faced -- including felony drug charges and reckless discharge of a firearm -- were dropped as part of a plea deal.

The two -- along with 21-year old Kione Moore and Isaac Jeffries -- were arrested in late-September of last year after they allegedly stole a car and cash at gunpoint from a then-26-year old man near the Bell Isle Apartment Complex. The victim was hit in the head with the gun, causing it to accidentally discharge.

The car was later located near West Main Street and Linwood Road.

Moore and Jeffries have already pleaded guilty and were sentenced to two-years in prison each on charges of obstruction of justice, along with a separate drug charge for Jeffries.

Guterz will be sentenced September 12th, while Kimble will be sentenced September 26th.

A fifth person -- 20-year old Michael Williams -- will be sentenced September 27th after pleading guilty to robbery in June.
