Power Outages in Galesburg, McDonough and Hancock Counties Also Affected
UPDATED AT 12:30 PMA nasty weather system that moved through the region Thursday morning left behind more than two-thousand power outages.

Ameren IP reports there were nearly 2,400 homes and businesses in Illinois served by the utility still without electricity as of 10:45 Thursday morning.

Most of those outages occurred in the region. The total included 630 Galesburg customers without electricity, which has since been restored, 741 in the Hancock County community of LaHarpe, and another 745 combined outages in Blandinsville and Good Hope in McDonough County. Those numbers remained as of Noon Thursday.

Ameren IP sent utility crews out to get the electricity restored in those communities as soon as possible.
