Suspect in April Robbery Arrested Friday
A Galesburg man has been arrested about four-months to the day after he allegedly committed the robbery of an area convenience store.

The Knox County Sheriffs Department says 19-year old Michael Eaves was arrested Friday at the Knox County Courthouse and charged with Robbery, Armed Robbery, Theft, and Unlawful Use of Weapons.

Deputies and State Police investigators were first called to the X-tra Mile Gas Station along Route 34 in Altona April eighth, when, they say, a man believed to be Eaves entered the store, displayed a gun, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash after ordering an employee to open the cash register and lie on the ground.

The Sheriffs Department says a toy gun was recovered during the course of the investigation.

Eaves is being held in the Knox County Jail on 150-thousand dollars bond pending a court appearance.
