Battery Complaint Leads to Felony Arrest
A battery report to Galesburg police over the weekend resulted in a local woman being arrested on a serious felony charge.

Police reports say a woman called around 8 p-m Saturday reporting that her daughter had been battered by 18-year old Laginisse Walker. Walker allegedly tried to get the alleged victim to fight her and followed her home.

Reports say Walker entered a home in the 200 block of Michigan Avenue without permission and battered the girl before leaving.

Officers caught up with Walker and arrested her on a preliminary charge of home invasion, a Class X felony. She's being held in the Knox County Jail pending an appearance in court.
