Kids Playing "Fireball" Face Charges
Three minors have been cited by Galesburg Police after they were found to be playing a game with a tennis ball that was set on fire.

Galesburg Police reports indicate they responded to Costa Catholic School at 2726 Costa Drive Tuesday for a fire in the parking lot. While on the way to the scene, police were advised that several subjects departed the area in an unknown vehicle.

Upon their arrival, police say they observed a small fire in the parking lot which was extinguished by the officer. Another police unit moved into a position southwest of where the fire was and stopped three minors who were coming from the direction of where the fire was.

The subjects allegedly told police they were playing a game called fireball where they ignite a tennis ball which has been soaked in gas and play catch with it. The suspects also said they were playing with more people who had left the scene.

The three minor boys were taken into custody by Galesburg Police and charged with Disorderly Conduct before they were released to their parents.
