Two Tornadoes Reported From Storms that Move Through Illinois
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- A fast-moving storm has led to at least two possible tornadoes, as strong winds left thousands of electric utility customers across central Illinois without power.

The National Weather Service reported tornadoes may have touched down Wednesday afternoon near Manchester in west-central Illinois and at Loami southwest of Springfield.

Trees and power lines were down but there were no immediate reports of injuries.

The weather service reported 60 mph winds in Decatur and just over 2 inches of rain at St. David in Fulton County.

Ameren reported about 18,000 customers without power. Most were between Jacksonville and Decatur in central Illinois and around Hillsboro farther south.

The storms are not believed to have caused damage in Galesburg.

More storms are possible across central Illinois overnight Wednesday.
