Motorcyclist Killed in Henderson County Crash Days Ago
POSTED 9:01 a-m, UPDATED 3:55pm 8/21/09 A one-vehicle accident that apparently wasn't discovered for several days claimed the life of an Oquawka man.

State police at Macomb say they were notified about the crash involving a motorcycle around 3:15 Thursday afternoon. Authorities say 63-year old Grant Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. They say the mishap occurred sometime between Sunday and Thursday on Henderson County Road 900 East - also known as Lock and Dam Road - a quarter-mile north of Henderson County Road 1500 North.

Troopers say Williams was northbound on Henderson County 900 East when the 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving went off the west side of the road and traveled several hundred feet. He was thrown off the motorcycle.

The accident is ongoing. Assisting state police troopers and investigators at the scene were the Henderson County Sheriff's Department and the Henderson County coroner.
