Doctors Offer Advice on Childhood Shots
CHICAGO (AP) -- The American Academy of Pediatrics is offering an advice series about childhood vaccines.

The audio interviews include a conversation with former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, who discusses her campaign to ensure children receive immunizations.

Another features Dr. Richard Besser, a pediatrician who became the public face of the government's swine flu response this year.

The interviews can be downloaded to an mp3 player. Edited transcripts are posted.

In some parts of the country, fears about vaccines have increased the numbers of parents who refuse or delay shots for their children. Experts say that increases the risk of disease outbreaks.
