Two Arrested On Felony Sex Charge
Two Knox County residents are facing felony sex charges after a warrant was issued for their arrest late last week.

Knox County Court documents indicate 35-year old Harlan Cook and 26-year old Jennifer Simmons, both of Maquon, were arrested last week.

Court documents allege Cook, sometime between January and July of 2008, had sexual penetration with a victim who was at least 13 years old but not yet the age of 17 and that the defendant was at least five years older than the victim.

The documents allege Simmons, also committed sexual penetration with a victim who was at least 13 and not yet aged 17 and she was more than five years older than her victim also in the same time period as Cook.

No specific details of the alleged events have been released at this time.

Both were wanted on a charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse before they were arrested.

The two are currently being held in the Knox County Jail on $20,000 bond each for the Class two felony.

There is no word on when they will make an appearance in Knox County Court.
