Two Men Arrested Following Friday Police Chase Make Court Appearances
Two of three Knox County residents allegedly involved in a police chase Friday afternoon -- all connected to suspected methamphetamine use -- will be back in court Wednesday on felony drug charges.

22-year old Steven Charles and 18-year old Timothy Olson made their first appearance in Knox County Circuit Court Monday afternoon on over a half-dozen felony charges -- most related to the illegal drug methamhetamine.

A vehicle occupied by Charles, Olson, and 37-year old David Fowler gave chase to Knox and Warren County Sheriffs Deputies, and an Abingdon Police officer around noon last Friday, after a Knox County deputy set up a surveillance near Saint Joe Road and Knox Road 100 East after discovering some allegedly recently-discarded items used in meth manufacturing.

Sheriffs Department officials say the chase reached speeds of 90 miles per hour at times, and went through Abingdon and into Warren County and through Berwick's town square.

The three allegedly later fled on foot after ditching their vehicle in a corn field outside of Berwick after it sustained damage.

Olson and Fowler were found nearly five hours later, while Charles was believed to be arrested after that.

Charles and Olson both requested Public Defenders, and Judge Dwayne Morrison okayed their bonds continuing at one-hundred-thousand dollars each.

Charles and Fowler will both be back in court at 11am Wednesday, while Olson will be back in court next Monday.
