Program Seeks Job Opportunities For Returning Soldiers
The Army Reserve and the Illinois National Guard Wednesday signed partnership agreements with employers to work to enhance job opportunities for soldiers and veterans.

The Army Reserve Employer Partnership Initiative will work with companies in Illinois to find work for returning soldiers.

"I look forward to collaborating with our newest valued partners to achieve mutual goals to attract, develop and retain a quality workforce," said Lt. Gen. Jack Stultz, Chief, Army Reserve.

The Army Reserve is teaming up with business leaders and public officials across the country to develop staffing solutions to meet industry demands and reinvigorate the employee base to remain competitive in the global economy.

The program is similar to the Helmets to Hardhats program, which works with trade unions to find employment for returning soldiers.

The Army Reserve Employer Partnership Initiative will eventually be rolled out in all 50 states. The Illinois National Guard was the first Army National Guard unit to sign the agreement.
