Democrats Call for Plummer to Release Tax Returns
A group of Democrats is calling on the republican candidate for lieutenant governor to release his tax returns.

A chapter of the group called Democracy for America has delivered more than 1,000 petition signatures to State Senator and Republican candidate for governor Bill Brady's campaign office. They are asking him to pressure his running mate, Jason Plummer, to release his tax returns to the public.

Ed Mullen, chairman Northside Democracy for America, says any elected official has the duty to make their returns public. He says it's the responsible thing to do.

"Jason Plummer has never given any access to his tax returns and he's one of the most largely unknown candidates on the Republican ticket and on any ticket this year," Mullen said. "I think any candidate for statewide office needs to understand that their tax returns are something that should be public."

DFA was founded by former presidential candidate Howard Dean after the 2004 presidential elections.
