City Manager Search Can Officially Begin
The search to replace outgoing city manager Dane Bragg is on in Galesburg.

Council members Monday night approved a measure to hire Voorhees Associates to search for a replacement.

While the task is a large one, there was very little discussion about the matter at the meeting except some clarification of the cost by Bragg and Mayor Sal Garza.

"It's a total of $19,400 plus direct costs for advertising, and then direct costs for travel and accommodations," Bragg said.

"I would mention that those costs are approximations," Garza said. "We asked for a range on what the potential costs would be."

Bragg also announced that his last day will be this Friday, August 20th.

Bragg begins his new post as Buffalo Grove's city manager September 7th.
