Blago Does Dad Duty Day After Verdict
CHICAGO (AP) -- A day after hearing the verdict in his political corruption trial, Rod Blagojevich was on dad duty -- taking his younger daughter to camp.

The former Illinois governor emerged from his home on Chicago's North Side wearing shorts, a polo shirt and gym shoes.

He told a crowd of reporters that he's still planning to mount a significant appeal after being convicted of lying to the FBI. The judge declared a mistrial on the other 23 counts against him Tuesday.

Blagojevich says he'll have more to say later. But he declined to talk about how a lone holdout juror was the only thing between him and a conviction on the charges that involved trying to sell President Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat.

Blagojevich says his priority was getting his daughter, Annie, to camp for "pretty princess day."
