Dems Day at State Fair Slightly Low Key
It wasn't the biggest crown this year at Governor's Day at the Illinois State Fair, but leaders say they still have the same work ethic and willpower. Democrats filled most of the seats on the director's lawn, cheering for the Democratic candidates and booing whenever opponents were mentioned.

Senate President John Cullerton (D-Chicago) earned cheers by pointing out that Republican candidate for governor Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) voted for the state's building and construction program, but voted against the funding for it.

Tim Kaine, former Virginia Governor, who's now the chairman of the Democratic National Committee was the guest speaker at the fair's Democrat Day. He says he was stunned to see Brady's votes on the building and construction plan, saying Brady's bad for jobs in Illinois.
