Juror Says Blago's Alleged Charges "Distasteful"
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) -- A juror in Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial believes the former Illinois governor was looking for personal gain when he considered appointments for Barack Obama's old Senate seat.

Ralph Schindler of Arlington Heights tells the Chicago Sun-Times the corruption charges Blagojevich faced were "distasteful."

The 58-year-old says that's not the way a public officials should operate.

Schindler says the most egregious of the crimes Blagojevich was charged with were those involving the Senate seat.

Jurors convicted Blagojevich on only one count of lying to federal agents on Tuesday. The judge declared a mistrial on the other 23 counts.

Multiple messages left for Schindler by The Associated Press weren't returned.
