Special Delivery? Pot Received Through Main in Monmouth
The Monmouth Police Department have arrested two people after some help from California officials.

According to a press release from Warren County State's Attorney Chip Algren, police officials in California intercepted a package containing marijuana.

The package was being sent to an address on B Street in Monmouth.

Monmouth Police and the West Central Illinois Task Force obtained a warrant for the home after the package was delivered.

Two men, 20-year old Austin Schwab and 19-year old Joshua Foust were arrested.

They face charges of unlawful possession of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis.

The charges, if convicted can carry a penalty of up to three years in prison and a fine of $25,000.

Both men are being held in the Warren County Jail as they await a court hearing.
