Police Investigate Gas Station Robbery
Galesburg Police are investigating the second early morning robbery attempt this week.

Police say this one occurred around 3:25am Friday at the Ayerco station on North Henderson Street.

Officers say two black males entered the store, one of which reportedly had a dull silver handgun. They say the two never got any cash, but fled the scene out a back door headed northbound on foot.

The two, a statement indicates, both wear masks and all-dark clothing, but no further description was provided.

Officers weren't able to locate the two, even though they used a K-9 to help conduct the search.

Anyone with information on the alleged robbery attempt should call Galesburg Police or the Galesburg-Area Crimestoppers Hotline.
