Local Bakery Closes Retail Shop
Danner's Bakery in Galesburg isn't going out of business, but the business is making some changes.

Owner Creeto Sanchez tells WGIL the tough economy has taken it's toll and the retail bakery shop on Fremont Street will close.

"They way times are, people's budgets can only alot for so many things. If bakery goods are one of those things they have to eliminate, I completely understand that."

Sanchez says his products will now only be available in restaurants and a limited amount of grocery stores.

The 11 year owner says he is unsure what will happen in the future, but hopes it could be possible to open the retail shop again someday.
