Monmouth Man Killed in Area Crash
A Monmouth man was killed when he lost control of the motorcycle he was operating Sunday morning elsewhere in Warren County.

The Illinois State Police in Macomb says the accident happened around 6:20 a.m. Sunday morning in Kirkwood, near the intersection of West and Railroad Street.

Troopers say 22 year old Ryan Fell was headed southbound on North West Street on a blue 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle but lost control at the intersection, at which time he struck a ditch, and came to a rest on the railroad tracks running parallel to Railroad Street.

Fell, authorities say, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say they were assisted by the Warren County Sheriffs Department, and that Fell was not wearing a helmet.
