U of I President Blogs
URBANA, Ill. (AP) -- Four times a week, new University President Michael Hogan hopes to share a few thoughts with students and faculty through a blog.

Hogan started writing his PrezRelease blog this week. He also maintained blogs while president of the University of Connecticut and provost at the University of Iowa.

As blogosphere content goes, Hogan's is tame. So far he's written about student move-in day and his trip to the state fair.

But Hogan has also used past blogs for more serious subjects. At Connecticut, he blogged to explain his decision to leave this year.

He says readers won't be able to post comments because he doesn't have time to monitor them.

A link to Hogan's blog is on the front page of the university's website.
