Man Sentenced to 90 Years in Prison for Sexual Assualts
CAMBRIDGE, Ill. (AP) -- A Henry County judge has ordered a 90 year prison sentence for a former Colona resident who pleaded guilty to 15 of 34 counts of Class X predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

Counts 16 through 34 were dismissed after 27 year old Roy Pruett entered the guilty plea Wednesday morning.

Circuit Court Judge Charles Stengel then sentenced Pruett to six years on each count. The counts are mandatory and truth in sentencing applies on the charges, meaning Pruett will have to serve at least 76 and a half years in prison. He was also fined $500 on each count.

The assaults reportedly began shortly after the victim's sixth birthday in April 2009 and continued until January of this year.
